3 – Finest quality, great taste
Quality and Taste are really important to us. At every stage in the buying and roasting process, controls are in place to ensure you get the best beans, in the best condition, in your deliveries. Quality checks are made when the green beans are first purchased, when they are delivered to our roasters and before they are loaded into the roasting machines to ensure they are the right colour and taste. It’s a long journey from plant to roasted bean and we take care to give you the finest quality and best tasting coffee.
4 – Coffee of the Month
Every month Zabu delivers you a Coffee of the Month as well as our unique House Blend. Only coffees we like the most – and we taste many – make it to become a Coffee of the Month. The Coffees of the Month can come from anywhere in the world – that’s the fun of it – and many of them have an interesting story which we bring you in the tasting notes.
5 – You choose
We take the hassle out of choosing coffee beans. We taste all the coffees we offer and we deliver them direct to your door. Our recommendation is a bag of Zabu House Blend and the Coffee of the Month delivered to you every month. But if you want to change your delivery in any way, just give our customer service people a call. You can change the coffees, the amount you receive or the timing of your deliveries.
6 – Fair and responsible
Zabu Coffee sources beans from Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance and Organic Certified suppliers, as well as single estate producers, ensuring that growers get a fair deal and the coffee is of the highest quality. We aim to have 100% recyclable packaging. Our boxes are recyclable and coffee grounds are great for the garden.
Our coffee bags cannot be recycled but we are working on this. The recyclable bags available can only be recycled at certain locations and the nearest to us is in Germany. The cost of shipping them there would outweigh any benefit. If you know of suppliers of recyclable coffee bags, please let us know.
