Finding coffee at Glastonbury

Posted by Sian

Whilst at Glastonbury Festival, there were many things I craved for. A shower and comfy bed were always going to be at the top of my list, but a close third was a great cup of coffee.

One early morning, with the sun shining through my tent, I had to get up and find somewhere that sold a good cup of coffee. So I got up, walked past the deserted main stage, and I saw a bright pink sign saying ‘Coffee and Cake’. It looked friendly, fluffy, and sickly sweet, sticking out like a sore thumb compared to the rest of the muddy festival surroundings.

Coffee was at the just the right temperature – hot enough to warm you up at the campsite. Smooth tasting and at the perfect strength for me – strong enough to wake me up in the morning.

I was also swayed to order a Caramal Jewel Cake, which was delicious, but probably not for those lacking a sweet tooth.

Like everyone at the festival, the staff were friendly and always had something to chat about, such as bands you have seen and bands you like.

I definitely hope to see it appear at more festivals to come.
